Put Down The Heavy Sword

Having trouble wielding that sword? Maybe it's time to put it down until you've got a better handle on things. Sometimes our energy is low, our mind is exhausted and our heart is heavy. We just don't have what it takes. We begin to question what it's all for, why something doesn't make sense, why the answers aren't coming, why we can't make a decision, why things are topsy turvy and why we can't get a grip on a situation or even ourselves. Our thoughts are scattered, we're easily upset and we're in a state of confusion.

The Queen of Cups shows up to remind us to take a break and heal what ails us. Put down the heavy sword (the overbearing thoughts) and focus on grounding and strengthening up. Tend to your emotional and mental health before taking on anything else, including helping someone else. Taking time for self-care doesn't mean you don't care for others. It means you are not able to help anyone else until you have helped yourself get to a healthier state. Once you're feeling good, new insights and solutions will present themselves, and you'll be able to wield that sword properly. 🔮

  1. I agree, overthinking can trip us up. Better sometimes to just let our emotions guide us.

    1. For sure, Debra! And as an air sign and someone who is constantly in her head, letting emotions guide from time to time is vital for me!
